Gender differences




Genderdifference can be defined as the average group differences inexistence between males and females. Females, on the other hand, aresensitive, passive and supportive. Males’ characteristics will makethem offer a solution to a given problem without enquiring much as aresult of ego and being assertive (Griffith &amp Goodwin, 2013).

Menbelieve they are the best and hence their decision is the bestirrespective of the information they have. Females, however, tend tobe sensitive and supportive qualities that will make them desire toenquire more of the problem so as to offer anappropriate&nbspproblem`s&nbspsolution.&nbspThe explanation hencereveals that there is a great possibility of males behaving on such amanner a behavior that is triggered by their characters (Fischer,2000).


Thefirst student has offered a credible explanation of the males’ andfemales’ reactions when offering a solution to a given problem. Naturally men like just offering solutions to problems. However, theydo not like communicating much or even listening. According to thisstudent, this aspect is brought about by the desire of men to haveauthority and power in their operations. Previously, females were notregarded and accepted as workers. Most workplaces were dominated bymales. The competitive nature of males would make them viewthemselves as the sole problem solvers. This aspect makes them offersolutions without many enquiries as a result of the ego in them(Griffith &amp Goodwin, 2013).

Itis clear from the first student’s explanation that things havechanged recently. Unlike those days, males in the recent days havebeen spotted asking open ended questions. These questions lead toproblem enquiry in one way or the other. Males have come toappreciate the importance of understanding the problem. They have tounderstand that understanding the problem will furnish them withnumerous possible solutions. The aspect will eventually lead tooffering a perfect solution. Entry of women in the employments hashelped people to understand clearly how well males and females behavewhen offering solutions to problems. People can also understand thatpeople’s behavior cannot be generalized (Fischer, 2000).


Thesecond student, on the other hand, offered a true explanation from ahuman nature’s aspect. It is evident that irrespective of the factthat many people of a certain gender tend to behave in a particularway, others tend to behave totally different. It might, therefore, beinaccurate to draw a conclusion that all males or females in aworkplace behaves in a particular way when offering solution toparticular problems. According to the second student, there arefemales who behave like males or even worse. This shows gender doesnot particularly define behaviors of people but rather the nature ofan individual (Griffith &amp Goodwin, 2013).

Thestudent, however, noted that females are more likely to enquire on aproblem consequently offering an accurate solution as opposed to men.This is as a result of their caring nature as well as a willingnessto know what took place as opposed to males who tend to be straightto the point. According to the second student, the behavior of peopleis solely as a result of the nature of that person (Dindia &ampCanary, 2006).
