1.  Dating in theworkplace has had numerous benefits since time in memorial. Researchreveals that employees spend more than forty hours per week tied intheir offices and workplaces, leaving them little time to datesomeone special (Amaral1).2. Romance in the workplace is increased as more women got intothe labor force (Amaral 1). In 1950, the percentage of women in thelabor force was lesser with only 30% of them being labor forceparticipants. Fifty years later the number increased to six out often additions. By 2003, 46.6% of the entire labor force composed ofwomen. Since then, the women have occupied large employment sectors.
B.  Thesis Statement Datingin the workplace is convenient, gives quality time to the spouses andreduces sexual harassment.
Convenience and comfort         A.     The office was recently rated asthe most favorable place to meet a spouse. It is not only a placewhere many people interact daily but a place where manysocialize.         1.   It is estimated that more office romances leadto stable relationships and marriages due to their convenience. Moreemployees are comfortable with each other and thus find it easier tospark a romance or establish a relationship.         2.      Employees are mature and atan age where they desire to settle down in life having completedtheir studies and earned a stable salary. Most employees are at thesame rank and feel a similar attraction due to their sharedexperiences as well.                                B.    The benefits of dating a co-workerinclude getting someone who matches your qualifications and skillsmost of the time asserts Amaral (3).          1. Dating someone who shares similar goals with you is anadvantage and is very convenient in many ways. Through sharingsimilar goals, you can hit your targets faster and easily. People whoshare your goals are more likely to understand your perception andview of the world than others.         2. Working in the same place means that you share a similarculture. Sharing a similar culture means that the values and norms ofthe other person are familiar to you. This makes relating simpler.
You deal with work challenges while working and relating together,solving problems. Having been able to solve work problems means thatyou can grow in a relationship and be able to deal with otherchallenges in your social life as well.
Qualitytime             A.    The working hours have tremendouslyincreased forcing employees to stay longer at workplaces.                                   1.    With less time left to socialize andmeet friends after work, dating in the work place can solve theproblem and create more time for socializing. You get to spendmore time if dating in the office if dating and less timeapart.                                            2.    Thedays spent working total to weeks and years, with some employeesworking at night too. This reduces the time spent at home or withyour loved ones and maximizes more time spent at work.             B. With the extension of working hours by companies andincreased time spent at work, nothing can make the hours fly morethan working with someone you love argues Amaral.Dating in theworkplace is a solution to people who do not like their jobs 1.     The impact of spending quality timetogether with someone you love at work leads to a simplified workloadand makes working more fun. When in love time moves faster and thusthe workload does not tire you. The effects of working with a lovedone are reflected on their passion and drive for work. They appearmore willing to work overtime as long as they spent time with theirloved ones. 2.      Figuring out that you will bespending the whole day with your spouse is enough motivation to getyou to the workplace earlier than usual. Those who do not like theirjobs feel happier at work and find it more interesting once theystart dating atwork.                                            JobPerformance         A.   Job performance defines how an employee executestheir work and job role. It is a key factor for any employeeand employer.                               Enthusiasm                      1.    According to Amaral (4), research revealsthat job performance increases significantly once employees startdating. Dating employees have zeal for work resulting toimproved jobperformance.                                                     2.     Dating employees seem keenerin their work and are more willing to be at work than those who justgo to work as a routine. Their keen interest is to appeal their newfound spouse and show that they are hard working. The energy to workand endurance strength for dating employees at work is significantlyhigher.          B.    Creativity and fewer work conflicts                      1.      The benefits that officeromance sparks are creativity, stimulated performance, raised workmorale and boosted work productivity. Employees find that they cangenerate ideas faster and easier thanusual.                                                     2.     If the relationship maturesinto a serious relationship or marriage, employers benefit greatly.The combined efforts of such employees decrease work conflict issuesas employers are in love and in harmony.
Less sexual harassment         A.    Reduces vulnerability           1.   Sexual harassment poses a major threat to manyemployees and can be solved through dating in the workplace.Employees who are dating are less likely to become victims of sexualharassment.                            2.     Vulnerable women and men atthe prime of their youth can be protected from sexual harassment fromco-workers or their employers if they start dating a fellow employee.            B.    Putting off sexualadvances                                              1. Workplace relationships benefit spouses throughputting off sexual advances, sexual favor requests and reduceschances of verbal/physical, sexual conduct.          2. Dating employees are termed as taken or engaged thus cannothave room for other suitors. This puts off other interested employeesand employers from declaring their intentions.                    ConclusionA.   Dating in the workplace is convenient, gives quality time tothe spouses, reduces sexual harassment and decreases cheating onspouses significantly. Since the office is the most common meetingplace and time is spent most here, it is convenient to date someoneyou work with for benefits like spending quality time, lessharassment from other employees or employers and reducing the chancesof cheating on your spouse.
With proven research benefits of dating at work, the employees andemployers are likely to enjoy more benefits of dating in the workplace. Employers will experience improved work performance andboosted morale from their employees while employees will establishrelationships and unions that will lead to marriages or stableunions.
B.  Futurerecommendations for dating in the workplace include investigating thebenefits of dating workmates to the organization. In the meantime,allowing diplomatic and respectful dating in the workplace isacceptable.
