ALOHA MEMBERS OF FOUNDER REGION:

IT’S TIME, to get ready for a fabulous time in Hawaii!

Our conference planners, Theresa Wellen and Judy Lee have been busy working with the region board to bring you the 34th Annual Founder Region Conference.

Business as usual is NEVER business as usual when you’re in Hawaii. The weekend will be packed with business, education, award presentations, an important election, friendship and fun. We also will enjoy Hawaii's wonderful hospitality thanks to the hostess clubs, SI of Central Oahu, SI of Honolulu and SI Waikiki.

Your president should have received the call to conference via email and we have encouraged them to share it with all of you. You can also download it from the link in the right sidebar.

If you would like to see your region board in action, please attend as a silent observer on Thursday beginning at 9 am.

The Legislative Advocacy Committee will host the Friday luncheon.  You won't want to miss this opportunity to hear reports by our official visitor Jan Martin, SIA director and anti-trafficking activist & award-winner Kathryn Xian. Kathryn will lead our panel/workshop on human trafficking Friday afternoon. Please plan to join us so that you are as up to date as possible on what’s happening locally and globally to Stop Trafficking.

Our Fellowship celebration begins with a cocktail party on Friday, and ends with awarding of our Fellowship grants to deserving women in the last year of their doctoral studies. Saturday we will celebrate member and club achievements, honor first-time attendees, conduct the business of our region, elect the officers and directors who will serve with Governor-elect Linda Sue Hansen, and conclude a busy day with our installation celebration that evening. Plan to dress in your finest island-wear.

Join us Sunday morning to remember the lives of those Soroptimists who passed away since our last conference. This memorial will be followed by honoring our region award winners of Women’s Opportunity, Violet Richardson and the Ruby Award “Women Helping Women”.  We will conclude with the "a hui hou" drawing.

There is no dispute, it takes 110% of all our efforts to conduct a successful conference.  See you there!

Governor Amelia
