A Message from Governor Mary Ann

photo of Governor Mary Ann ReddenIt has been a wonderful whirlwind since coming into office. We have completed two Leadership Meetings, a Federation Convention, six District Meetings, two Region Board Meetings, and numerous club visits. The November Mailing has been mailed, all region dues have been paid and one or two President's Round Tables in each District have been done.

The Region Board and I are already in the midst of planning our Conference which will be held May 2-4, 2003 in Concord, California. We are continuing to plan District and Region events and activities to support club and member growth and development. Your membership in Founder Region matters--we really enjoy getting together with you and we can't wait to show you how much.

Right now there are lots of deadlines to pay attention to such as Women's Opportunity Award, the Violet Richardson Award and the Making a Difference for Women Recognition Program. There are also the very important ballots from Federation on the proposed amendments to our bylaws and the election of our Federation Director. There is also the process of converting to the 501 C 3 status if your club chooses.

All of this activity is what makes being a Soroptimist so special. We are bound together by our commitment to making the world a better place and the respect for others who share that same commitment. As we look forward to autumn and the Holidays let's continue to invite others who share a similar commitment and continue to Achieve Growth By Sharing.

Best Wishes and Happy Holidays to Everyone

Mary Ann Redden
