Committee Currents...

ACHIEVE GROWTH BY SHARING

RECRUIT...RETAIN...SHARE...CHARTER

A message from the Founder Region
Member Services Committee

In response to Governor Mary Ann's requests in her installation speech given at Conference 2002...the Founder Region Member Services Committee encourages all members of Founder Region to:

SHARE MEMBERSHIP ONE BY ONE... EACH ONE REACH ONE

Governor Mary Ann has challenged us to DOUBLE the membership of Founder Region

WE CAN DO IT!!!

Governor Mary Ann has challenged Founder Region to charter three new clubs this biennium...PER DISTRICT = 18 NEW CLUBS!!

WE CAN DO IT!!!

Appreciation is expressed to the following clubs who have accepted the challenge to sponsor a new club:

District III:
  Area...American Canyon...to be sponsored by SI/Vallejo Gateway
Area...Yountville*...to be sponsored by SI/St. Helena Sunrise
District IV:
Area...Windsor...to be sponsored by SI/ Healdsburg
District V:
  Area: Laytonville...to be co-sponsored by SI/Fort Bragg and SI/Willits

THAT'S FOUR PROSPECTIVE CLUBS IN THE WORKS OUT OF THE 18!!

WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR CLUBS TO STEP FORWARD AND BE INVOLVED IN SPONSORING NEW CLUBS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

District I:
Berkeley*, Emeryville, Castro Valley*, Hayward*, Newark, San Leandro*, Union City
District II:
Antioch breakfast or evening meeting, an additional club in East Contra Costa County area, Moraga*, Orinda*, Rheem
District III:
Lakeport*, Kelseyville, Travis Air Force Base area
District IV:
Mill Valley, Occidental, Petaluma*, Rohnert Park/Cotati*, San Anselmo, Sausalito*, Sebastopol*
District V:
  Hilo*, Kauai*, Kihei/Wailea*, West Oahu*

asterisk* above designates areas where we used to have clubs and have lost them over the years.

In addition to the areas as noted above, there is room in almost every area in our region for establishing more clubs where there are existing clubs. There are prospective members in our communities who may be able to meet on a day or at a time when existing clubs do not meet.

Most areas in our region have room for a breakfast, lunch, after work or dinner meeting club. Just imagine the possibilities available by having more than one club in an area...what an impact we can have on our communities by doing this...by partnering with each other and sharing in ways and means and service objectives. What an impact we can have on those who become Soroptimist members as to enriching their lives and personal growth!! And by creating new clubs in areas where there are existing clubs, we strengthen ourselves by the ability to team up and work together. Share your club territory...let's grow and multiply our service efforts!

Governor Mary Ann's theme for the biennium is:

"ACHIEVE GROWTH BY SHARING"
WE CAN DO IT!!

With great flexibility, WE CAN AND WILL achieve these membership increase/club chartering goals! Time is of the essence...we cannot wait to get started...the time to begin is right now!!

PLEASE CALL ON A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE FOUNDER REGION MEMBER SERVICES COMMITTEE SOON FOR MORE INFORMATION AND TO MAKE A PRESENTATION TO YOUR CLUB!!

GOVERNOR MARY ANN HAS COMMITTED SATURDAY EVENING AT OUR FOUNDER REGION CONFERENCE TO HAVING A CELEBRATION OF MEMBERSHIP. HOWEVER, IT IS UP TO YOU TO GIVE US SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE BY RECRUITING NEW MEMBERS AND CHARTERING NEW CLUBS!

LET'S MAKE IT A REAL CELEBRATION!!

LOOK FOR MORE INFORMATION IN THE NOVEMBER MAILING ABOUT THIS SPECIAL EVENT.

FOUNDER REGION USED TO BE THE LEADER IN OUR FEDERATION AS TO RECRUITING AND CHARTERING NEW CLUBS...LET'S RECLAIM THAT HONOR THIS BIENNIUM!!

RECRUIT...RETAIN...SHARE...CHARTER!!!
WE CAN...WE WILL...WE MUST DO IT!!
